
On June 5, 2025, Casedoc, a leading European provider of digital justice case management solutions, officially entered the Swiss market. The high-profile launch event at The Circle 02, Microsoft Switzerland headquarters in Zurich had a capability attendance from justice and across Switzerland and Lichtenstein.
Together with Microsoft and supported by several Swiss system integrators, the event brought together justice sector and Canton stakeholders, digital transformation leaders, and innovation experts to explore how Casedoc is reshaping justice delivery across Europe and now in Switzerland.
Designed in close collaboration with European justice institutions, Casedoc is already driving digital transformation in courts, tribunals, and prosecution services across national, regional, and local levels. The platform supports judicial organisations in reducing administrative burden, eliminating case backlogs, digitising workflows, and delivering integrated, citizen-centric justice services.
Casedoc’s entry into Switzerland aligns strongly with the goals of the Justitia 4.0 programme and offers Swiss justice authorities a modern, flexible alternative to traditional systems – built for configurability, interoperability, and future-readiness.

The event was opened by Moritz Oberli, General Manager Public Sector at Microsoft Switzerland, who reaffirmed Microsoft’s strategic commitment to the European public sector through its Comprehensive Sovereign Cloud Solutions initiative. He highlighted Microsoft’s recent announcement to expand cloud and AI infrastructure in Switzerland, underscoring a clear focus on Swiss data sovereignty, local control, and regulatory alignment.

LIVE DEMONSTRATION: JUSTICE IN ACTION

Lesley Franck, Vice President at Casedoc, introduced the Casedoc platform and led a live demonstration of its intuitive user experience and powerful digital capabilities. The demonstration showcased Casedoc’s capabilities in delivering real-time workload overviews, intelligent hearing scheduling and management, workflow automation, and secure AI-driven support for judicial tasks.
Another key theme was hybrid hearings. This provides the ability to increase hearing attendance, enable remote participation, and a means to improve court process efficiency which is a ‘game-changer’. It was discussed how hybrid hearings aren’t just about accessibility. Together with a court case management system, they are about improving the efficiency of justice delivery across multiple means of hearing participation and deeply impacting core courts processes with data.
At the event, Casedoc also introduced new AI capabilities that support justice use cases. These features are designed not only for efficiency, but also for secure use within justice-sector standards, with appropriate guardrails to ensure purpose intended use, transparency and accountability.
FROM EUROPE TO SWITZERLAND: WITH PASSION AND PROVEN IMPACT

The audience also heard from Kristjan Karlsson, Senior Project Manager at Casedoc, who presented compelling examples of how the platform is already delivering results across Europe – eliminating delays, simplifying cross-agency collaboration, and improving access to justice for all stakeholders, including the public.
“Digital transformation in justice isn’t about technology – it’s about outcomes,” said Kristjan. “And those outcomes – like reduced backlog and improved transparency is the aim for us to deliver wherever Casedoc has been deployed.”
Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to participate in live polls, which highlighted shared challenges and priorities across the sector. Effective case management and seamless data exchange between justice actors were identified as leading contributors to improving judicial efficiency. Similar the polls showed a strong consensus around suitable and valuable applications for AI in justice.
LOOKING AHEAD: READY FOR SWITZERLAND

Casedoc brings to Switzerland a proven platform – developed with and for justice organisations across Europe – that reflects best practices in judicial digitalisation. The platform is designed to adapt to local legal and procedural requirements while benefiting from the innovation and learning gained through successful implementations in multiple jurisdictions. But successful digital transformation is not about technology alone. Casedoc is currently pursuing in Swiss tender processes together with implementation partners and is now planning follow-up events and technical deep-dive sessions in collaboration with local partners to continue the momentum.
